29 CFR 1926.97(c)(2)(ii): The employer did not ensure insulating equipment was inspected for damage before each day's use and immediately following any incident that can reasonably be suspected of causing damage. Insulating gloves were not air tested, along with the inspection. a) At the vicinity of 6820 Cold Brook Road, Scott, NY., on or about June 1, 2021: Employees were exposed to electrical hazards as the provided insulated gloves were not inspected before each day's use . Employees were installing fiber optic cable within 5 feet of overhead 4.8KV energized lines. b) At the vicinity of 6820 Cold Brook Road, Scott, NY., on or about June 2, 2021: Employees were exposed to electrical hazards as the provided insulated gloves were not inspected before each day's use . Employees were installing fiber optic cable within 5 feet of overhead 4.8KV energized lines.
