29 CFR 1910.176(a): Aisles and passageways were not kept clear and in good repair, with no obstructions across or in aisles that could create a hazard, nor were appropriately marked: (a) On or about 5/20/2021, at U.S. Postal Service - Catano DMDU, the employer did not appropriately mark permanent aisles or passageways throughout the distribution center, exposing employees to struck-by hazards. (b) On or about 5/20/2021, at U.S. Postal Service - Catano DMDU, near the Outbound Platform, there were two floor holes measuring approximately 3 inches by 4 inches each, exposing employees to a trip and fall hazard. (c) On or about 5/20/2021, at U.S. Postal Service - Catano DMDU, near the LCUS area, there was a floor hole measuring approximately 6 inches by 12 inches, exposing employees to a trip and fall hazard. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by CFR 1903.19(c).
