1910.305(g)(1)(iv) Unless specifically permitted otherwise in paragraph (g)(1)(ii) of this section, flexible cords and cables may not be used: (g)(1)(iv)(A): As a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure. a) On or about April 21, 2021, the employer did not ensure that flexible cords and cables were not used as fixed wiring in that the employer's disconnect which powered their Cincinnati Sub Zero Oven in the ESS Lab was powered at 240 volts using flexible cables in place of fixed wiring. b) On or about April 21, 2021, the employer did not ensure that flexible cords and cables were no used as fixed wiring in that the silver metal enclosure on the left side of the Blue M Oven in the ESS lab was wired was powered at 130 volts using a flexible cord that was plugged into an outlet in place of fixed wiring.
