29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: The employer did not ensure employees used the appropriate eye protection for protection while welding, at the CM Trailers facility, exposing the employees to the hazard of flash burns and inflammation of the cornea: a) This violation was observed on or about March 22, 2021, where an employee working on welding line# 3 without a welding hood or welding rated eye protection b) This violation was observed on or about March 22, 2021, where an employee working on the welding table without a welding hood or welding rated eye protection Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure the use of the appropriate eye or face protection.
