29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) On or about December 16, 2020, the employer failed to ensure that there was effective guarding in place on the Borghi (B4A-201-94) brush machine to protect employees from the moving parts of the machine to include but not limited to the drill bit at the point of operation. Employees are exposed to hazards such as but not limited to being struck by or caught in between hazards. b) On or about December 16, 2020, the employer failed to ensure that there was effective guarding in place on the Borghi (B4B-3847) brush machine to protect employees from the moving parts of the machine to include but not limited to the drill bit at the point of operation. Employees are exposed to hazards such as but not limited to being struck by or caught in between hazards. c) On or about December 16, 2020, the employer failed to ensure that there was effective guarding in place on the Borghi (B4C-376-1993) brush machine to protect employees from the moving parts of the machine to include but not limited to the drill bit at the point of operation. Employees are exposed to hazards such as but not limited to being struck by or caught in between hazards. d) On or about December 16, 2020, the employer failed to ensure that there was effective guarding in place on the Borghi (B4D-208-95) brush machine to protect employees from the moving parts of the machine to include but not limited to the drill bit at the point of operation.
