29 CFR 1910.157(e)(2): Portable fire extinguishers were not visually inspected at least monthly: Employees engaged in housekeeping, feed mill, chemical, dried fertilizer, and grain handling activities in the entire complex of the grain elevator were exposed to tripping, egress and fire hazards in case of emergency in that the portable fire extinguishers were not visually inspected at least monthly. a) Main Floor by the Electrical/Control Room - 1 fire extinguisher. b) Main Floor by the Man Lift Room - 1 fire extinguisher. c) Main Floor by the door open to the train railroad - 1 fire extinguisher. d) Main House Bin Top by the Top Belt North - 1 fire extinguisher. e) Main House Bin Top by the Top Belt South - 1 fire extinguisher. f) Main House Distributor Floor - 1 fire extinguisher. g) The Shop - 2 fire extinguishers. h) Chemical Shed - 1 fire extinguisher. i) Chemical Shed by the Dried Fertilizer area - 1 fire extinguisher. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
