29 CFR OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushed by hazards due to an underhung hoist with a company-made support structure that was not designed, tested, or periodically inspected to withstand the loads and forces imposed by the hoist for the rated load. 980 Grafton St, Worcester, MA: On October 28, 2020, an employee was injured when the hoist support structure failed causing an 800lb conveyor segment being lifted to shift into the employee.
