29 CFR 1910.184(f)(5)(iii): Wire-rope slings: Removal from service. Wire rope slings shall be immediately removed from service if any of the following conditions are present: Kinking, crushing, bird caging or any other damage resulting in distortion of the wire rope structure. a) On or about September 24, 2020 three wire rope slings had not been removed from service when conditions such as kinking and broken wires were present.
