Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(d): Application of control. The established procedures for the application of energy control (the lockout or tagout procedures) shall cover the following elements and actions and shall be done in the following sequence: Lockout or tagout devices shall be affixed to each energy isolating device by authorized employees. a) On or about August 24, 2020, the employer had not required the application of lockout and tagout devices to control and isolate energy (mechanical and pneumatic) when performing maintenance on items such as but not limited to changing rollers on the rear/back clamp of saw 051, a Metl Cutoff Saw Model CS3-26-T8.
