Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1): Examination. Electric equipment shall be free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Safety of equipment shall be determined using the following considerations: 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1)(ii): Mechanical strength and durability, including, for parts designed to enclose and protect other equipment, the adequacy of the protection thus provided; a. On or about August 17, 2020, for the 7000 Smith's Mill Road, New Albany, Ohio worksite; an electrical power supply cable had damaged exterior insulation which was designed to protect the interior live parts. The electrical power supply provided power for a motor component mounted to the ARPAC bundler located in the White 9 Line area.
