Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were not protected from the hazards of unsafe powered industrial truck operations: a) Green Empire Farms, Inc., on or about 6/18/20: The employer did not ensure that employees operating powered industrial trucks, such as but not limited to, Raymond Pacer electric stand-up lifts, received training prior to operation. Among other feasible and acceptable means of abatement would be to comply with ANSI/ITSDF B56.1 Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks operator qualifications and training, Sections 4.18 and 4.19 and to comply with the powered industrial truck manufacturer's operating instructions.
