29 CFR 1926.1204(e)(1): Permit confined space was not tested to determine if acceptable entry conditions existed before authorized entry was begun: a) On or about 9/20/2019, 304 Front Street, Binghamton, NY, tank #1: An employee was required to enter a 10,000 gallon gasoline storage tank, to clean and prepare it for removal. The employer did not ensure that the atmosphere inside this permit required confined space was tested prior to authorizing entry. Abatement verification is required for this item.
