29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv): Unless specifically permitted otherwise in paragraph (g)(1)(ii) of this section, flexible cords and cables may not be used: 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: The employer is failing to protect employees from electrical hazards associated with unsafe electrical work practices in using temporary flexible cords in lieu of permanent wiring. This was observed at 10330 I St, Omaha, Nebraska on September 5, 2019 when a flexible cord was attached to the building structure in the maintenance department to power electrical equipment.
