29 CFR 1926.651(i)(3): Sidewalks, pavements, or appurtenant structures had been undermined and a support system or another method was not provided to protect employees from the possible collapse of such structures. a. On or about September 4, 2019, at the above addressed jobsite, the employer conducting water main installation operations undermined the pavement by four (4') six (6") inches, thereby exposing an employee to the hazards associated with a sidewalk collapse.
