29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems: a. On or about July 11, 2019, at the jobsite located near the intersection of Main Street & Taylor Rd in Thonotosassa, FL employees were working in a trench that was 5 feet 3 inches deep and the trench had not been inspected by a competent person.
