Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section. The employer is failing to establish and maintain a written specific energy control program for each piece of equipment to be locked out/tagged-out. This was most recently documented at Valmont Industries located at 1600 E 29th Avenue in Columbus, NE 68601 on June 18, 2019. Shut down procedures are not created, thus creating an electrical hazard to the employees if improper steps are taken to shut equipment down.
