29 CFR 1910.333(c)(3)(i)(A)(1): When an unqualified person was working in an elevated position near overhead lines with voltages to ground rated at 50 kV or below, the location between the person and longest conductive object he or she may contact, cannot be within 10 feet of any unguarded, energized overhead line: JOBSITE: The employer did not ensure that unqualified employees working on or near an energized 13.8 kV power line from the bucket of an aerial lift truck did not come closer than the minimum approach distance (MAD) of 10 feet of the unguarded energized overhead power line. On or about 06/05/2019, the above aerial lift bucket truck (truck) came in contact with the energized 13.8 kV power line, and the employee on the ground came in contact with the truck and sustained severe electric burns to the body.
