29 CFR 1926.1153(f)(1): The employer allowed dry sweeping or dry brushing where such activity could contribute to employee exposure to respirable crystalline silica and wet sweeping, HEPA-filtered vacuuming or other methods were feasible: a) Work site was located at 605 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306 A subcontractor's employees were exposed to health hazards as a worker on the 10th floor was drying sweeping construction debris and creating a cloud of dust that contained respirable silica without a respirator and without using water to suppress the dust. Violation was observed on or about April 17th, 2019.
