29 CFR 1910.243(c)(1): General requirements. Abrasive wheels shall be used only on machine provided with safety guards as defined in paragraph (c) (1) through (4) of this section. (a) On or about February 26, 2019, a Dewalt 4.5 inch angle grinder located at grinding station #6 was operated with the safety guard removed to grind castings. (b) On or about February 26, 2019, a Dewalt 4.5 inch angle grinder located at grinding station #10 was operated with the safety guard removed to grind castings.
