29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On or about 02/07/19 - Machine Shop, the chuck on the four LEBLOND Lathes was not guarded, exposing employees to an amputation hazard. (b) On or about 02/07/19 - Machine Shop, the rotating part of the IDEX Milling Machine(H-69-1257a1) was not guarded, exposing employees to an amputation hazard. (c) On or about 02/07/19 - Machine Shop, the rotating part for the Delta drill press was not guarded, exposing employees to an amputation hazard. (d) On or about 02/07/19 - Machine Shop, the rotating part for a second Delta drill press was not guarded, exposing employees to an amputation hazard.
