29 CFR 1910.140(c)(18): Personal fall protection systems were not inspected before initial use during each work shift for mildew, wear, damage, and other deterioration, and defective components were not removed from service. a) Warehouse - on or about November 7, 2018, employees (order pickers) used a fall protective system consisting of a body belt and six foot shock absorbing lanyard which was not inspected prior to initial use. The belt's manufacturer's label was illegible and the metal buckle was observed with areas of corrosion from rust.
