Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards: On or about 11/01/2018, an employee, who lacked ladder safety training, was exposed to a 9 foot, 4.5-inches fall hazard while using a 6-foot stepladder when accessing and descending from a carport roof due to the ladder's length not being tall enough for the employees to use safely when climbing up or down the ladder. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
