29 CFR 1910.243(a)(1)(i): Portable power driven circular saw(s) having a blade diameter greater than two inches were not equipped with guard(s) below the base plate or shoe which automatically and instantly returned to the covering position when the tool was withdrawn from the work: On or about June 26, 2018, and at times prior thereto, the Makita 5007F circular saw had the blade guard held back with a piece of wood, exposing employees to the hazards of cuts and amputations.
