Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards: a- 1601 Long Beach Boulevard, Beach Haven NJ: On or about 05/31/18 company workers were exposed to fall hazards when utilizing an aluminum extension ladder whose rise to run ratio was not 4 to 1 and, as such, was not having an angle of approximately 75 degrees from the horizontal . Condition observed on or about 05/31/18. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
