29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems: On or about May 1, 2018, daily inspections of excavations and adjacent areas were not conducted by a competent person, exposing employees to the hazards associated with trenching and excavation work. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
