29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 pounds per square inch (psi): On or about April 19, 2018, at Woodward Millwork Group, the employer allowed employees to use compressed air to clean off their clothes and equipment. This condition exposed employees to the hazard of an embolism. Instance 1) In the architect work bench area the air from the air nozzle was 70 psi. Instance 2) In the fabrication area the air from the air nozzle was 55 psi.
