29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards: a - Block 72, Lot 7.09, 419 - 2nd Street, Lakewood NJ: Worksite company employees were exposed to fall hazards when utilizing two separate aluminum ladders that were not set on a stable surface and were visibly sinking into the ground onto which they were set. At the time of the worksite inspection, these employees had not received any ladder hazard recognition training or training on procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards from the company. This condition was noted on or about 02/05/18. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
