Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) Options Medical Center dba Options, 1700 S. 120th St., Lafayette, CO 80026: On or before January 25, 2018, employees working in the facility were exposed to eye and skin injuries in that the employer did not have adequate eyewash or shower equipment in the facility. The employer had personal wash units available to employees. The personal eye wash units do not meet the requirements of plumbed or self-contained eyewash equipment. Chemicals with a low or high pH include but are not limited to, Pure Bright Germicidal Ultra Bleach, pH Up, pH Down, House and Garden B Aqua Flakes Nutrient, and House and Garden B-Coco Nutrient. This condition exposed employees to serious eye injuries.
