29 CFR 1926.502(d)(11): Lifelines shall be protected against being cut or abraded. On Dec. 1, 2017, located on the south side of a commercial floor structure, an employee was observed utilizing a 50 foot vertical lifeline, as a lanyard, that had one end which was not protected against being cut or abraded. The snaphook end of the lanyard was tied back into itself on the nearest top plate while performing framing work. Potential fall heights were approximately 25 feet (to ground below) and 10 feet (to next lower level).
