29 CFR 1926.502(d)(16)(iii): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, was not rigged such that an employee could neither free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m), nor contact any lower level: The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards while performing residential re-roofing activities. This was most recently documented on or about May 2, 2017 at the jobsite located at 1203 Ridge Circle, Tonganoxie, Kansas. Employees engaged in residential roofing activities, tearing off shingles from a 4:12 pitch roof was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 20 feet from the roof's eave to the ground in that employees did not properly adjust the fall arrest system from the lanyard to the anchor point on the peak of the roof.
