29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there were potential electrical hazards were not provided with electrical protective equipment that was appropriate for the specific parts of the body that needed to be protected and for the work being performed: Western Springs, Illinois - On or about April 17, 2017, a motor service technician was required to troubleshoot the circuit elements and electrical parts of the 2,300 V AC well pump located at 740 Hillgrove Avenue, Western Springs, IL., Pump House, Well No. 3. The technician worked in an area where there were electrical hazards (2,400 V AC) and was not provided with electrical protective equipment including voltage-rated gloves and flame resistant clothing. The employee was thereby exposed to the hazards associated with live electrical parts.
