29 CFR 1910.217(e)(1)(i): A program of periodic and regular inspections of mechanical power press(es) was not established and followed to ensure that all parts, auxiliary equipment and safeguards were in a safe operating condition and adjustment: A) Maumee Assembly & Stamping, LLC, located at 920 Illinois Avenue, Maumee, OH 43537: On or about January 30, 2017, the employer did not establish and follow a program of periodic and regular inspections for the Verson TR4 mechanical power press (Serial # 13558, 1200 Ton) to ensure that all parts, auxiliary equipment, and safeguards of the press were in a safe operating condition and adjustment. The press had deficiencies, exposing employees to amputation hazards when operating the press. B) Maumee Assembly & Stamping, LLC, located at 920 Illinois Avenue, Maumee, OH 43537: On or about January 20, 2017, the employer did not establish and follow a program of periodic and regular inspections for the Verson BLK1 mechanical power press (Model # S4-1500-186-108T, Serial # 24680, 1500 Ton) to ensure that all parts, auxiliary equipment, and safeguards of the press were in a safe operating condition and adjustment. The press had deficiencies, exposing employees to amputation hazards when operating the press.
