29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the following: Guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about February 22, 2017, employees were exposed to fall hazards when there were no guardrails and the height of the top of the ramp at the back of the building was 53". Employees used the ramp to access the dumpster and to load/unload trucks. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
