Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1): The employer shall provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use personal protective equipment (PPE). Each such employee shall be trained to know at least the following: When PPE is necessary; What PPE is necessary; How to properly don, doff, adjust, and wear PPE; The limitations of the PPE; and, The proper care, maintenance, useful life and disposal of the PPE: a) 9000 River Rd, Delair, NJ, 08110- Anodizing: The employer did not provide training to employees on what specific personal protective equipment (PPE) was necessary, how to properly wear the required PPE, and the limitations of the PPE when entering the caustic tank to clean. Employees sustained chemical burns as a result of not receiving PPE training, on or about 2/3/2017. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
