29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toe boards: (a) On or about October 27, 2016, in the water treatment room: The platform on the filtration station, was unguarded. This exposed employees to a fall to the lower level of approximately 5 feet 4 inches. NOTE: As published in the Federal Register (Vol 81., No. 223) on Friday November 18, 2016, OSHA's revised walking-working surfaces and personal protective equipment (fall protection systems) standard will begin addressing this condition under 1910.28(b)(1)(i).
