29 CFR 1910.219(c)(2)(i): All exposed part(s) of horizontal shafting seven (7) feet or less from floor or working platform were not protected by stationary casing(s) enclosing shafting completely or by trough(s) enclosing sides and top or sides and bottom of shafting: a. On or about September 20, 2016, and times prior thereto, throughout the Mill Area, employees were exposed to caught-in hazards when operating a Yates-American A20 Planer without all exposed parts of the shafting protected by stationary casings. b. On or about September 20, 2016, and times prior thereto, throughout the Mill Area, employees were exposed to caught-in hazards when operating a Slat Bed Multi-blade saw without all exposed parts of the shafting protected by stationary casings. c. On or about September 20, 2016, and times prior thereto, throughout the Mill Area, employees were exposed to caught-in hazards when operating a Mattison Machine Works Molder Model 276 conveyor without all exposed parts of the shafting protected by stationary casings. d. On or about September 20, 2016, and times prior thereto, throughout the Mill Area, employees were exposed to caught-in hazards when operating an Out feed conveyor without all exposed parts of the shafting protected by stationary casings. e.
