29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a. On or about August 13, 2016, the 22-foot extension ladder used to access the trusses did not extend 3 feet above the landing surface nor was it secured from slippage The employees were being exposed to a 9 feet fall hazard. Ninja Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1128548, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on May 2, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 213 Wiregrass Lane, Panama City Beach, FL 32407. Heritage & Son Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1049184, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on September 3, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 35 Grayling Way, Lot 5, Inlet Beach, FL 32413.
