29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performs any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury: The employer does not have an energy control program that outlines energy control procedures to follow when conducting lockout/tagout, employee training, and periodic inspections for equipment at the facility. This violation was revealed through employee/employer interviews conducted on or about July 19, 2016, at the facility, employees were exposed to the hazards of electric unexpected start-up, release of stored energy, and contact with moving parts. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to develop an energy control program.
