29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: The employer is failing to protect employees from struck by hazards associated with operating a bench grinder with an improperly adjusted tongue guard. This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 2215 Leavenworth St., Omaha, NE; where the employer has employees using a Skill pedestal mounted bench grinder to sharpen tools while the tongue guard is adjusted greater than one quarter inch.
