29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) Ark Woodworks Inc, at 878 Baseline Place, Brighton, CO: On and preceding 4/4/16, where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. One employee added water to the lead acid battery used for the Multiton model EJB 25-157 walk-behind forklift. This operation was performed in the area of a restroom. The restroom was not equipped with an emergency eyewash or an emergency shower. The employer did not provide suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes. This condition exposed the employee to a chemical hazard.
