29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: Exigo Metal Works/Hillside, NJ- Production Area: Employer did not ensure that employees used eye protection when handling the following chemicals: a) Atlantic Phos 745RTS (which contains Phosphoric Acid, pH 2.6 - 3.0) used in washer. b) Polyester Crystal TGIC no lead (which contains Barium Sulfate 10-25% and Titanium Dioxide 10-25%) used in the spray booth. c) Chromic Acid Flake (which contains Chromium Trioxide 100%), Ultrex AF 28 MH (which contains Sodium Hydroxide) and Hex a Gone Salts; all of which were used in the electroplating area. Condition observed on or about March 17, 2016.
