29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems. Site: 146 Wilson Street Brooklyn, NY On or about 12/14/15 a) Employer did not provide daily inspections by a competent person of an excavation which employees were working. The excavation in a back yard was being hand dug and was approximately 13 feet deep. Employees were trapped when a cave-in occurred.
