29 CFR 1910.124(f): Employees were not knowledgeable of the proper first-aid procedures appropriate to the dipping or coating hazards to which they were exposed: a) Strip and Wash Area, on or about 12/1/15: The employer did not ensure employees working around dip tanks were aware of first aid procedures appropriate for the hazards associated with the corrosive chemicals with which they work. Employees clean railcar parts by lowering them into dip tanks containing corrosive cleaning chemicals such as, but not limited to, Al-brite (containing sulfuric, phosphoric and hydrofluoric acids, pH of 0.5) and Truck and Tractor Cleaner (pH of 12.5 - 13.5). Abatement certification must be submitted for this item
