29 CFR 1910.177(g)(6): Tires on single piece rim wheels were not contained within a restraining device, positioned behind a barrier or bolted on the vehicle with the lug nuts fully tightened during tire inflation: a) BK Tires, Inc. at 3775 Puritan Way, Frederick, CO 80516: On or before July 16, 2015, the employer allowed employees to inflate free-standing truck tires that were not contained within a restraining device, positioned behind a barrier, or bolted on the vehicle with the lugs fully tightened, during tire inflation. Condition exposed employees to projectile and struck-by hazards, and resulted in the fatality of an employee while he was inflating a 315/80R22.5 truck tire.
