29 CFR 1910.23(d)(1): Every flight of stairs having four or more risers shall be equipped with standard stair railings or standard handrails as specified in paragraphs (d)(1)(i) through (v) of this section: (a) Big Dipper, starting side: On or about June 25, 2015, and times prior, ride operators and maintenance employees use the stairs, measuring 3 foot 7 inches from platform to ground with 5 risers that was not equipped with an intermediate railing. (b) Big Dipper, end near operator station: On or about June 25, 2015, and times prior, ride operators and maintenance employees use the stairs, measuring 5 foot 4 inches from platform to ground with 8 risers that was not equipped with an intermediate railing. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
