29 CFR 1910.179(g)(5)(iv): The hoisting motion of all electric traveling cranes shall be provided with an overtravel limit switch in the hoisting direction. a. On or about June 9, 2015, located in the High Bay area, there was a 7-1/2 ton capacity Harnischfeger P & H overhead crane, serial number CH7025B, that was used to hoist fabricated structural steel which did not have a functional upper limit switch, thereby exposing the employees to a struck-by hazard.
