29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1): Employer did not ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: The employer was using electrical equipment that was not free from recognized hazards. a. On or about June 10, 2015, employees mixing paint and walking around the water tower were exposed to electrical hazards due to a damaged green extension cord that was powering the Black & Decker hand grinder. b. On or about June 10, 2015 employees working on top of the water tower were exposed to electrical hazards due to using a Black & Decker grinder that had a damaged electrical cord. c. Employees working in the paint mixing area were exposed to electrical hazards due to using a Rigid Drill that had a damaged electrical cord. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS OF 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
