29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances: On or about March 17, 2015, in Building #1, the employer provided employee(s) with improper hand protection exposing employee(s) to chemical and physical injuries. Instances include, but are not limited to the following: (a) In the EPTD Press area, an employee was observed using powder free disposable latex gloves while working with acetone to clean production parts (#K0249). (b) In the 3/6-stage Washer Pre-treatment Area, employee(s) were not provided the appropriate personal protective equipment when working with corrosives.
