Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that there was no immediately available rescue system for an employee using a single point suspension system: a) Academy House, 1420 Locust Street, Phila, Pa. 19102 - employee engaged in window washing activities was not protected by a rescue system. Observed 12/12/90 NOTE: One useful and feasible means of abatement, among others, would be to design and implement a rescue system. Observed 12/12/90
