29 CFR 1910.26(c)(2)(vii): Ladders having defects were not marked or taken out of service until repaired by either the maintenance department or the manufacturer: The employer does not ensure defective ladders are marked or removed from service. a) This violation was observed on or about January 8, 2015, in the metalizing department, exposing employees to the hazard of falls. b) This violation was observed on or about February 3, 2015, in the structures area, exposing employees to the hazard of falls. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure ladders with defect are marked or taken out of service
